French Cultural Studies. War and Occupation 1940-1944: Other Stories/ Stories of Otherness Special Issue

This output consists of the following elements: the ‘Introduction’, Atack’s own article, and her research contribution to the volume. Developed from the AHRC-funded research project on Narratives of Occupation and War 1939 to the present, the volume brings together relevant work from members of the research team and revised conference papers; it seeks to move beyond the critical dominance of ‘the Resistance and its others’, presenting stories that have not yet been told and examining the issue of otherness in very new contexts in order to underline the multiplicity of perspectives and narratives involved that go beyond simple binaries.
