Additional information

While this study uses human data, an animal study has been subsequently been published which is consistent with our findings, i.e. that the GSK3 beta gene correlates with brain structure differences found in depression (Wilkinson et al. (2011). A novel role of the WNT-dishevelled-GSK3 beta signalling cascade in the mouse nucleus accumbens in a social defeat model of depression. Journal of neuroscience, 31(25), 9084-92. ).
