The technology developed in this work has been identified as being applicable in the area of micro-particle manipulation, and is now being investigated by Dr Billson at Warwick, and Dr Adrian Neild at Monash University. The early stage work described in the paper has led to new work which is being funded from Warwick-Monash 2012/13 Strategic Funding Initiative for Joint Research and Education Programmes (£10.5k).
