Additional information

The research into the effect of heat transfer enhancement in latent heat thermal energy storage systems provided the platform for the development of ideas and concepts that led to two EPSRC projects. EP/K011847/1, ‘i-STUTE End Use Energy Demand centre’ (£921,522) covering thermal storage in the temperature range from -35 to 200˚C and EP/K002228/1, ‘Integrated, Market-fit and Affordable Grid-scale Energy Storage’ (IMAGES, £608,744) working with thermal storage at temperatures of up to 400˚C.
