Additional information
This paper reports the development of the first 3D chalcogenide (ChG) glass surface-enhanced-Raman-scattering (SERS) substrate, which is compatible with ChG photonic circuits to form integrated SERS sensor chips. The work formed an important part of a £1.5m Home Office project (Contact Prof Stephen Elliott, sre1@cam.ac.uk) and led to an international collaborative project (£150k) with Tsinghua University for transformer oil diagnosis (Contact Prof Qirong Jiang, qrjiang@tsinghua.edu.cn). This work led to the publication of another two journal papers in Optics Letters and Optical Materials.
