Additional information

<26> This paper presents a novel advanced Radon transform is proposed for line detection using a multilayer fractional Fourier transform, a Cartesian-to-polar mapping, and 1-D inverse Fourier transforms, followed by peak detection in the sinogram. It has been proven that this cutting-edge method outperforms all known representative line detection methods based on the standard Hough transform or the Fourier transform.

This work forms part of the research of a current PhD student and has been published in a leading journal with an impact factor of 3.199 in the area of image processing.
