Unrecognized States in the International System

The collection is an output of Stansfield’s Leverhulme Research Leadership Award (RLA: “Ethnopolitics in a Globalized World”). Stansfield chose Caspersen, who had a thematically linked ESRC award, as a collaborator. During and after the two workshops, Stansfield ensured the contributors, all leaders in their respective fields, addressed a common set of concerns and adhered to the RAL’s research aims. Stansfield and Caspersen collaborated equally on the editing of contributors' chapters, and co-authored the introduction in which the collection was set within the RLA’s research framework. Stansfield also led on the composition of co-authored chapter with a junior RLA researcher.
