Attitudes towards User Experience (UX) Measurement
<20>This paper is an extension of an earlier paper (Law 2011 "The Measurability and Predictability of User Experience”, ACM EICS'11]. As the topic is highly relevant to UX, especially to industry which often relies on metrics for decision-making, the earlier paper attracted significant interest (e.g., cited in the papers of CHI’13 and NordiCHI’12). Law was invited to speak on the topic at three conferences: SIGCHI Finland, targetting a mixed HCI audience (http://www.sigchi.fi/ux-sig-3-2011); UCD Conference, targetting practitioners (http://ucduk.org/events/ucd2012-conference/) and Input-Output Conference, targetting academic researchers (http://www.inputs-outputs.org/programme/). This paper uses empirical studies to substantiate and complement the analytical treatment in the earlier paper.
