Significance of output:

This multidisciplinary paper sets the agenda for a new research direction in designing sustainable policies using systems and control theory. It involves a collaboration between control engineers and an economist and provides a system-theoretic approach for designing sustainable polices that minimise the negative effect on economy while explicitly addressing the challenging problem of high levels of uncertainty in predicting future emissions. The work has led to three invited seminars and been selected for inclusion in “Elsevier’s Monthly Research Selection” (Sacha Boucherie, Press Officer, Elsevier, s.boucherie@elsevier.com).
