Double-weighted statement

In this book I develop

-Emigranto as an original concept denoting the mixed-language used by Jewish refugees in London, and

-propose a syntactic-processing-hypothesis which has generated a research-paradigm currently receiving critical acclaim.

This was contingent upon

•a two-year-period of layered-data-collection with 54 participants,

•a five-year-period of developing a transcription and coding-system for bilingual data processing (The LIDES Coding Manual)

•the pain-staking compilation of the first extensive (93,235 words) LIDES corpus, with linked transcription/audio-files (http://talkbank.org/data/LIDES/Eppler.zip).

•a manual syntactic-dependency-analysis of the data.
