Additional information

<28>This paper describes novel measures of dynamical network complexity which characterize the extent to which network systems combine integrated and differentiated dynamics. These measures are proposed as quantitative measures of conscious level. Philosophical Transactions has the prestige of being the world's first scientific journal. This work has led to a follow up study which has been accepted for publication in Physical Review Letters, one of the most prestigious scientific journals in any field.
