Studies on Locke : Sources, Contemporaries and Legacy
This collection of specially commissioned, double-blind refereed articles from leading scholars of the philosopher, John Locke, includes an introduction co-authored by Hutton and Schuurman, and a chapter by Hutton: 'Some Thoughts Concerning Ralph Cudworth' (pp. 143-157). An initiative by Hutton, the collection aims to address the prevailing tendency to fragmentation in Locke scholarship where his writings are treated separately from one another and their context. It does so through a cross-disciplinary set of studies which examine Locke in relation those to whom he responded, or who were engaged either directly with him or with the same sets of concerns.
