Additional information

Estimating the available wave power yield at a given location is critical to the development of, and investment in, wave energy technologies. By presenting a methodology for assessing not only the present wave energy resource, but also the expected trends in future resource, the paper provides key data that inform the viability of deployments at Wave Hub (Claire.gibson@wavehub.co.uk) and other possible European wave energy test sites. This work was funded by the South West of England Regional Development Agency, who instigated the Wave Hub project. This work has been developed to indicate device specific yields in output 3.
