Additional information

This early work into the processing of polymer nanocomposites via laser sintering highlighted the importance of powder morphology in addition to nanoparticle dispersion. This lead directly to a collaborative Royal Society funded grant with Toyota Technological Institute in Japan (okamoto@toyota-ti.ac.jp) and an industrially funded materials investigation with BMW  looking at powder morphology for laser sintering (jan.eggert@bmw.de).
