Additional information

This work gave insight into how rotor losses in permanent magnet machines originate and how these can be effectively suppressed during both healthy and faulty conditions. This directly impacts power density. Geometry structures were proposed and led to a patent application, “Two-part Stator for an electrical machine” (GB2491573). This is being further developed through the Clean Sky AEGART project (Project Reference: 296090, Ruud.DenBoer@cleansky.eu).
