Double-weighted statement

Beckett, Technology and the Body covers all of the major genres of Beckett’s sixty-year writing career: drama, prose, radio plays, television plays, film and critical writings. It contains archival research and manuscript material from Südwestrundfunk in Stuttgart, Trinity College Dublin and the University of Reading Beckett International Foundation. The archives include a vast body of correspondence, notebooks, manuscripts and audio-visual material. The book also pays detailed attention to the considerable body of secondary material on Beckett’s work. The monograph is the first to argue for a post-Cartesian reading of Beckett’s work, and it has been extensively referenced and reviewed.
