Additional information

This paper deals with the issue of assessing hearing objectively in young cochlear implantees, where the objective assessment of hearing in users of cochlear implants as young as 6 months old is quite complex. This will be an important part of future cochlear implant development where hearing assessments are still being done subjectively and poorly. Lead author Castaneda-Villa (ncv@xanum.uam.mx) received a PROMEP scholarship from Mexico (No. PROMEP/103.5/06/2055) and since graduation, has secured a Faculty appointment at UNAM, Mexico.
