Mirrors and Microparameters: Phrase Structure beyond Free Word Order
Please note that due to system restrictions we are unable to rank the reserve outputs. However, should only one reserve be required, the first reserve is "A Minimalist Theory of Feature Structures" (book chapter, currently identified as the reserve for "A syntax of Substance").
This output develops the first generative analysis of a highly intricate set of phenomena linking word order with subtle aspects of semantic and pragmatic interpretation in a free-word order native American language. This necessitated a long and complex period of preparatory fieldwork with aging consultants as well as much subsequent checking during the writing, all of which was intensely time consuming. Originally intended to be published as three journal articles, it was brought together as a coherent whole in a monograph because of the conceptual interdependencies of its parts.
