Additional information

As editor, I was solely responsible for the design, commission and editorial work for the volume (compilation of references, indexes, front matter). I contributed the following five chapters of the volume as well (with page numbers): Introduction’ 1–5; ‘Latin Inscriptions and Documents’ 29–39; ‘The Forms of Latin: Inflectional Morphology’ 105–17; ‘Classical Latin’ 236–56; ‘The Social Dialects of Latin’ 505–26. The two chapters on ‘Classical Latin’ and ‘The Social Dialects of Latin’ are both the outcome of my own original research, and are not summations or surveys of the work of others.
