energy efficient.

This research shows for the first time that if Optical Code-Division Multiple-Access (OCDMA) codes are based on multi-wavelength, short picosecond pulses, environmental temperature fluctuations of even a few degrees must be taken into account when the system is being designed. If system designers ignore this newly discovered fact, then even systems transmitting at relatively short distances will perform very poorly. This work was produced for the OKI Electric Industry Co., Japan [Dr Gupta, gupta852@oki.com].
