Additional information

The original research was funded in 2009 by the Electro Magnetic Remote Sensing Defence Technology Centre, a joint MoD/industry research partnership (which ceased operation in 2010) as part of their investigation of optical MEMS for future sensor systems for defence and security. Pre-prototypes of the optical MEMS devices were supplied to Selex Galileo in 2012 [Chief Technologist Electro-Optics, robert.lamb@selexgalileo.com] for  investigation for application in their electro-optic imaging systems. Knowledge exchange and training on applying optical MEMS devices was also provided to Selex engineers.
