Additional information

Exploiting temporal and spatial correlation from neighbouring wind farms is presented as a graphical inference problem. This research is the first to apply Distributed Source Coding to the reduction of communications overhead in wind farm monitoring and load generation prediction. The research is applied in two recently-funded Scottish Sensor Systems (www.sensorsystems.org.uk) projects undertaken with Scottish Canals [Director of Change & Innovation, david.lamont@scottishcanals.co.uk] on exploiting correlation among soil resistivity measurements.
