Additional information

The development of vacuum-processed gate dielectrics for low-voltage organic transistors is of topical significance in the organic electronics community. In this research we presented the first vacuum growth of alkyl phosphonic acid monolayers. Such monolayers were previously obtained by a solution process only. The presented results are associated with a UK Patent Application [GB1113808.8, August 2011] and form the basis of the international patent application [WO2013021149A3, July 2012].
