Additional information

This research, for the first time, enables the emissions from a static VAr compensator to be predicted using the derived software model. The model enables electricity supply companies to reliably predict emissions to satisfy the European Directive on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), meaning that EMC Regulations can be met without the need for expensive measurements. This research is part of on-going, international research collaboration [2006-present] with Shandong University and the North China Electric Power University [Prof Qingmin Li, lqmeee@ncepu.edu.cn (also formerly with Shandong)].
