Additional information

This research is concerned with the design of adaptive control of complex systems using only process input/output data. The main advantage of the proposed novel method is that it is using only the input/output data and does not require the expensive and cumbersome exercise of developing a physical model of the system for control purposes. As such this research formed a core element of a project with the European Research Fund for Coal and Steel [RFSR-CT-2010-00037, 2010-13] and the European steel research institutes, VDEh BFI (Germany) and SWEREA MEFOS (Sweden).
