The research on the reported laser was undertaken using MEMS micromirrors. The research described in the paper is part of an on-going industrial collaboration  with Thales UK  [Research & Technology Manager: stephen.mcgeoch@uk.thalesgroup.com] to implement the technique described here inside Thales military rangefinders. Several knowledge transfer projects with Helia Photonics Ltd [Caspar Clark, Chief Technology Officer: caspar.clark@helia-photonics.com] to expand their capabilities in thin-film deposition, jointly generating new IP, have also resulted.
