Additional information

This paper describes a novel, general and inexpensive technique for designing broadband array processors whose beam pattern is constant with frequency. The research now forms part of the basis for broadband signal separation and beamforming research within the UK MoD Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) University Defence Research Centre (UDRC) Networked Battlespace consortium with Loughborough, Surrey, Strathclyde, Cardiff Universities and six industrial partners. Partners now working with Strathclyde on this array processor technology include Qinetiq [Malcolm Macleod, Chief Scientific Officer, mmacleod@qinetiq.com], Steepest Ascent Ltd [Jamie Bowman, Principal Engineer, Jamie@steepestascent.com], and SelexES [allan.colquhoun@selex-es.com].
