Additional information

Based on a comparison of decompositions of polynomial space-time covariance matrices and a new algorithm, this paper demonstrates the design of optimal sub-band coders that, to date, could only be predicted but not realised beyond the two channel case. This work investigates polynomial subspace techniques for broadband angle of arrival estimation, and led to further collaborative efforts with Prof Kaveh [mos@umn.edu, University of Minnesota], and Prof Lambotharan [s.lambotharan@lboro.ac.uk, Loughborough]. This core research work has defined a key 5 year work package of the EPSRC/DSTL Networked Battlespace consortium with Loughborough, Surrey, Strathclyde, Cardiff, and six industrial partners [EP/K014307/1, £3.6m, 2013-18].
