Additional information

This paper was the first to introduce the methods developed at Cambridge for the analysis of large networks (as also developed in 'Stability certificates for networks of heterogeneous linear systems' by Pates and Vinnicombe) to the problem of power control on wireless networks. Whilst this result was never published in journal form, it has led to a strong activity in this area, with journal publications, for both Charalambous, who has a postdoctoral position at the Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm (KTH) continuing this work, and Lestas who now has a faculty position at Cambridge.
