<20> This paper was awarded a Best Paper Honorable Mention (top 5% of all submissions). The design and study of an interactive artwork reveals the distinctive role of artists in engaging the public with scientific (e.g., climate) data. The work arose from a collaborative project with a professional arts group and the Met Office, and toured to three public arts venues in the UK. CHI is the leading international venue for HCI research, implementing a double-blind review process with a rebuttal stage. CHI 2013 accepted 20% of submissions.
