Additional information

<19> This paper built upon project work by a part time postgraduate student who was a serving police officer in a local computer crime unit. It is a highly applied impact assessment of the different tools that could be used during the investigation of live memory. The methods of testing and assessing the impact of a tool were subsequently adopted by that High Tech Crime Unit, SOCA and the NCA. This line of research has contributed to a number of significant investigations helping key information to be seized from memory prior to the start of a disk imaging forensic process.
