Presenting DEViSE: Data Exchange for Visualizing Security Events

<19> Presents a system enabling the integration and visualisation of network security data. This high profile publication gives an overview of a mature research project, originally funded by CESG. The project has over 15 man-years of development. It has generated significant interest and has subsequently been funded by MoD in a joint project with Northropp Gruman for several stages of further development. Details of the XML-based architecture and middleware design were published in 2009 Proceedings of longstanding IEEE International Conference on Communications (33% acceptance), demonstrating how the two traditionally separate fields of network security and network management can be combined.
