Additional information

Demonstration of formation of high aspect ratio structures using ionic liquids for conformal overplating of chromium on vertically aligned carbon nanotubes. Vast improvement over standard chromic acid bath in terms of conformal plating (throwing power) and process efficiency. Great potential for formation of magnetic data storage (viz. non magnetic Cr embedding a conformal magnetic layer Ni on CNTs). Also discovery of magnetic chromium at very low coverages where small cluster size inhibits complete cancellation of electron spins.
