As a part of the outputs from a 3-year project sponsored by the UK Health & Safety Executive/Industrial Management Committee, this paper reports the results of an experimental programme to investigate behaviour of concrete beams with corroding plain reinforcements. These results were applied within the subsequent EU funded project-LIFECON (Life Cycle Management of Concrete Infrastructures for Improved Sustainability).
