Additional information

This publication provides an in-depth description of the retrieval of CO2 at University of Leicester from observations of the Japanese GOSAT satellite and a detailed assessment of the performance of the CO2 observations by comparisons to ground-based and model datasets. This study, led by a PhD student from University of Leicester under the supervision of H. Boesch, is an application of the OCO retrieval algorithm developed by H. Boesch to the analysis of GOSAT data. H. Boesch has played a major role in the development of the GOSAT CO2 retrieval and in the interpretation of the model comparisons.
