<24>The new tree similarity metric proposed in this paper has huge potential for analysis of Big Data, and our approach has already been deployed in a number of areas, including text mining (PhD project “Meaning in Document”, Luis Trindade) and financial data management (Final year project, “StockMiner V2”, Stuart Hanna). The metric is currently being used in the DEEPFLOW project which is jointly funded by SAP and InvestNI.
