Additional information

The NeXOS project, the first NEAT funded project in Scotland, was a feasibility study to determine the possibility of a low cost, home based system for manipulation of the lower limbs. The prototypes demonstrated the feasibility of the approach, and also informed physiotherapists as to the nature of the manipulation that they were carrying out, and the underlying kinematics. Thought the project was not developed to a fully functional stage, lessons learnt were incorporated into a proposal for work on lower limb prostheses which was awarded funding in 2012, and for which Prof Bradley is a consultant. Grant reference EP/K020463/1.
