Additional information

This paper, co-authored with industrialists from DEIMOS Space SRL in Madrid and the European Space Agency in The Netherlands, reports research funded by ESA (Contract No. 19784/06/NL/JD/na) and introduced a new optimisation-based framework for the worst-case analysis of space flight control systems. This framework was further developed over the subsequent 5 years via 8 other ESA research contracts worth a total of €485K. It has been applied to applications ranging from Autonomous Satellites, Hypersonic Re-Entry Vehicles, and Entry, Descent and Landing Systems.
