<09>This paper is the result of collaboration with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) following an invited sabbatical period. The paper followed established guidelines from the software engineering community on conducting empirical research and went through a rigorous review process. The paper has provided a basis for work on early project planning since it identifies many gaps for further research. It also established continuing collaboration with NTNU and the companies involved in the research.
