Hush Baby Hush: Lullabies from around the World
This collection features lullabies from around the world, and represents families in a variety of environments and cultures. The research underpinning the illustration of this project involved collating information from secondary sources and composing and constructing images that suggest actual places, peoples and times to create a sense of place. This included research from the photography collections at the Cornell University Museum.
The ambition of this project is to depict the familiarity of singing to children as part of parenting and representing the universality of this act across continents and cultures. This involved the construction of invented spaces for a young audience.
