Additional information

This paper resulted from a research presentation at the 2009 ASME conference on actual vibration problems. It investigates the combined effect of cracks and clearance on mechanical systems with flexible links, which are increasingly important when analysing the dynamic performance and related vibrations of mechanical components on mechanical connecting rods. The research may be of interest to engineering companies / research scientists due to the possibility of performing reliable assessments on all types of damaged links in machinery based on non-destructive vibration studies.
