The paper presents work from EPSRC CareGrid as further refined during PAL - a joint EPSRC/TSB funded academic-industrial project on communications infrastructure for supporting future healthcare. It led to funding for EPSRC CloudSafetyNet (CSN) (Jan 2013). The PAL outputs are moving towards commercialisation (funding currently under review), and are being directly used, and extended in CSN.
