Significance of output:

This work brings the research field of domain wall magneto-resistance into the realm of reproducible results allowing study of the fundamental properties of non-adiabatic electron-magnetic interactions. It presents the first example of a functional nano-electronic device fabricated by helium ion milling and demonstrates the symbiotic nature of e-beam lithography and helium ion milling. Researchers in a recent Appl. Phys. Lett. comment on how our nano-scale magneto-resistance sensing element can be used for resonance monitoring, whereas researchers at Trinity confirmed our milling results in detail in a recent J. Phys. D paper.
