Additional information

This paper describes the first attempt at optimisation of the THAI-CAPRI EOR process for downhole upgrading of bitumen. The THAI/CAPRI process is being field-trialled in Canada by Petrobank (Dwight Mervold Tel: 001 (403) 7504400), and the findings have been fed into its implementation. The results described have underpinned a further partly-industrially-funded project involving EPSRC (EP/J008753/1) and Petrobank, started in April 2012.
