Additional information

The Feed in Tariffs promote the exportation of electricity to the grid from those who have small scale microgenerators, and many people also promote the idea of localised storage. This paper shows that, contrary to normal belief, over the life of the storage unit there is no economic incentive to the householder to use battery storage, and the environmental impact is high. This should influence further government policy and discussion about storage mechanisms.
