Additional information

<02>This definitive journal paper proposes Circulate: a completely new and novel architecture for reducing data transfer in service-oriented architectures, and removing bottlenecks associated with centralised workflow engines. The resulting architecture has been thoroughly evaluated over large-scale networks, and demonstrates a significant speedup when compared to existing centralised workflow engines. This research was published in the IEEE Transactions on Services Computing (TSC) journal, and has resulted in a wide range of impacts: it formed the basis for a successful Royal Society Industry Fellowship, and a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant in the USA.
