<02>This is the third in a series of patents on distributed mediation. It defines an architecture for scaleable, causally consistent message exchange within a self-managing network of message servers. The significance of this work is that it excludes by construction any violations of causal ordering, and so can be used to eliminate real-world problems such as front-running in stock exchanges at the level of the infrastructure, with important implications for regulation and market trust. The work has been licensed to a start-up company and forms the basis for their product suite.
