Additional information

<19>This paper demonstrates that the obfuscation of social network information can both improve privacy and performance in opportunistic networks. It is the first work to consider privacy in a completely disconnected opportunistic network, which is paramount if these systems are to be deployed. Earlier forms of the work appeared in two international venues, won an award in one of these, and was presented in a keynote at one of the main international opportunistic networking venues. This is the archival paper which appears in an international Elsevier journal, and was one of Elsevier's "hottest" ComputerCommunications papers of 2012.
