Additional information

<22>Describes the outcome of a collaborative project to achieve a demonstrator for in-situ science assessment and planned opportunistic science capture in a planetary rover mission. The work is continuing to influence the design of the on-board software for ExoMars and planning is expected to play a role in that mission as a consequence of this work, following the inclusion of software hooks based on this work in the initial ExoMars on-board software designs. The work applied novel planning techniques in an effective collaboration with industry partners SciSys Ltd as well as image processing and rover control researchers at Aberystwyth University.
