The annual International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) is the most prestigious gathering of IS academics and research-oriented practitioners in the world. ICIS attracts the top research papers in the field. (http://aisel.aisnet.org/icis/) ICIS 2011 attracted 1016 submissions from 45 countries, the largest number of submissions and the broadest geographic coverage in its history. Each paper was peer reviewed in a process involving two to three blind reviews, an associate editor, and a track chair. The acceptance rate was 30%.
